COVINGTON — Mrs. Vera B. Garrison; 84, Covington, a resident of Wabash Township since 1944, died today in her home. She was a member of Wabash Chapel Church, Wabash Chapel Ladies Aid and Wabash Troy Home Extension Club. Born Nov. 3, 1894, in Warren County, she was the daughter of William and Emma Ware Stephens. She attended West Lebanon schools. She was married Nov. 23, 1912, to John P. Garrison. Other survivors are two sons, Warren of Williamsport and Richard of Covington; three daughters, Mrs. Harry (Helen) Salts of West Lebanon, Mrs. Fred (Rose Emma) Allen of Villa Grove, Ill., and Mrs. James (Virginia) Arthur of Covington; a sister, Mrs. Lucy Clark of Attica; a brother, Morse Massings of Attica; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home here with the Rev. Alfred Dobbs officiating. Burial will be in West Lebanon Cemetery. COVINGTON, Ind. -- Mrs. Vera Beatrice Garrison, 83, of Covington Route 1, died early today (May 23, 1978) at her home. She was a member of the Wabash Chapel Church and its ladies aid and the Wabash-Troy Extension Homemakers Club. A resident of Wabash Township, Fountain County, since 1944, she had formerly resided in Warren County. Born Nov. 3, 1894, in Warren County, she was the daughter of William and Emma Ware Stephens. She was married on Nov. 23, 1912, to John P. Garrison, who survives. Other survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Harry (Helen) Salts of West Lebanon, Mrs. Fred (Rose Emma) Allen of Villa Grove, Ill.; and Mrs. James (Virginia) Arthur of Covington Route 1; two sons, Warren of Williamsport Route 2: a sister, Mrs. Lucy Clark of Attica; a brother, Morris Massings of Attica; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, two sisters and a stepbrother. Arrangements are pending at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home. -- typed by Walt W
